Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Marine Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Marine Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, maintenance, and repair of marine vessels and equipment. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on marine engines, propulsion systems, and navigation equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on marine vessels.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure the longevity and optimal performance of marine machinery.
- Assist in the installation and integration of new equipment, engines, and systems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment condition.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure working environment.
- Collaborate with other marine professionals, engineers, and crew members for coordinated maintenance activities.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes.
- Respond to emergency situations to ensure the safety of the vessel and its crew.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in marine technology preferred.
- Proven experience as a Marine Technician or similar role.
- Strong understanding of marine engines, propulsion systems, electrical systems, and navigation equipment.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in the maritime industry.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces.
